CURRENT
The Kingsdale Volunteer Fire Company located approximately 3 miles southwest of Littlestown,  was established in November of 1948.  The building was built and the company Incorporated in 1949.
Kingsdale is dedicated in their effforts to regain fire prevention service to our local and surrounding communities by becoming a water source.  Several phone calls have been made to reach the supervisors with no response.  In leu of no response, a letter was sent outlining our request to be recognized as a water source for our and other surrounding communities.  No response from the township.
As part of our goal to continue serving the community, Kingsdale has taken the task to provide charitable to services to organizations, groups and individuals.  Currently we help the local Cub Scouts with the collection of newspapers, papers, magazines; plastic bottle cap collection to assist 4 children with dialysis; and can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey.   Recently we helped to hand out baby bottles for spare change collection for the Pregancy Center and we started collecting for the local food pantries.

HISTORY
Kingsdale has always been proud of the fact that NO financial incentive was ever, or has ever, been required to get the dedicated volunteers of KVFD to respond to 911 calls.  In fact, the Kingsdale Volunteer Fire Company received NO financial support from the township for the past 3 years and has provided this service free of charge to the Germany Township residents.  KVFD has relied solely on its fundraisers and donations of area residents to meet its financial obligations.
Against the wishes of 287 Germany Township residents who responded to a petition to keep the Kingsdale Volunteer  Fire Company as the official fire company of Germany Township, Germany Township Supervisors, voted to take away Kingsdale's First Due Territory. Until July 2008, the Kingsdale Volunteer  Fire Company protected Germany Township a portion of Mount Joy Township, and the surrounding areas with a two year (2006 & 2007) perfect response record, yet select supervisors pushed to close the doors of this dedicated fire company.
In January of 2006, the department started to provide a quick response crew to provide assistance on medical calls. This is known as a QRS and is licensed through the Pennsylvania State Department of Health.  The KVFD QRS held an excellent record as being one of the county's fastest volunteer response teams for BLS (Basic Life Support) while providing excellent quality care.  This much needed and excelledt service has also been terminated.
The Kingsdale Volunteer Fire Company currently operates a 1992 International E-one 1250 gallon engine-tanker & a 2006 Freightliner Darley 3500 gallon tanker.
The Kingsdale Fire Company is located at 1789 Frederick Pike in Littlestown, PA  17340
